Arkansas Masters Test Information

In Arkansas, you must be licensed by the State Licensing Board of Contractors to take any contract over $20,000. Requirements for the Electrical Contractor's license include five years of experience, passing the Arkansas Business and Law exam, and the prior acquisition of a Master Electrician's license.

Tests are open book and based on the NEC code (Available at Brown Book Store).

Prerequisites

Master Electrician

A degree in electrical engineering plus two years of construction related experience, or...

Six years experience in the construction industry, both residential and commercial, including two years experience as a licensed journeyman electrician

Residential Master

Three years experience in the wiring of 1-2 family dwellings, including one year as a licensed residential journeyman

Reciprocal Agreement

Your test results and license will allow you to apply directly for license in the State of Oregon.
